【Product description】

SandGel-5011A is a nano-multifunctional rheological thickener for water-based industrial paints. It has good suspension stability in water-based and alcohol-based coatings. It is suitable for waterborne industrial paints which containing various alcohols and ethers. It has special amphiphilic structure and especially recommended for waterborne epoxy zinc rich system.

【Application & Advantage】

As being thickener, suspension agent, thixotropic agent, binder and anti-settling stabilizer for water-based, alcohol-based and alcohol-water mixtures, it has special parental structure whcih can improve the compatibility of water and oil phases and has an excellent thixotropic and anti-flow hanging properties. It can effectively improve the construction and storage stability, suspension property and adjust rheology.

【Instruction】

The product is generally added into the grinding or pulping stage in the system, and then other components in the formula are added in turn and stirring to the dispersion is uniform.

This product does not require minimum activation temperature in production process nor is it sensitive to heat. The best gel state can be formed only by fully shearing and dispersing and only after full hydration can it exert its excellent rheological properties. This product is easy to use. It can be added to a certain amount of water first and after water being used out then it can be added to other alcohol solvents in the formula. It can be dispersed sufficiently through high-speed shearing but also can also be dispersed in a certain amount of alcohol first. It will help to improve the gel concentration and facilitate production operation when water is used. This product can being added to the mixture of alcohol and water to be fully dispersed. It can also being added to water for pre-gel preparation. The pre-gel concentration is generally not more than 5%.

The typical dosage of this product is about 0.5%-2.0% of the total formula weight. The specific dosage can be adjusted according to the type of paint and the required consistency.

【Attention】

1.1.The product must be slowly added to the mixing tank with appropriate amount of water. Do not add the product in large quantities at high speed or with agglomeration.

2.It is necessary to keep stirring until it is dispersed evenly before or after the product is added.

25kg/bag. The expiration date is 18 months at room temperature when stored in dry and ventilated condition.
